Anne was predeceased by her beloved husband of 60 years, Lewis E. Jones (Lew), and by their son Brian Douglas. Anne was born in Boston, Mass. on October 24, 1933 to Carl and Margaret Coleman Jacobsen. Anne is survived by her three children, Lou Anne Nabhan (Douglas), Sandra Lee Brill, and David Michael Jones; her grandchildren, Andrew Lee Brill (Rachel) and Brian Adam Brill, and her two great grandchildren, Kylie Anne Brill and Garrett Mitchell Brill.
Anne is also survived by her sister Mary Lois Jacobsen, her sister-in-law Sandra Blossom Jones, and a number of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Anne was also predeceased by her brother-in-law David George Jones “Doc”, and her siblings Margaret Downs and husband Joe, Jeanne Brown and husband Walter, and Carl Jacobson and wife Regina.
Anne and Lew lived most of their life in Anderson, Indiana, where they raised their family. She loved spending time engaged in laughter and fun with family and friends. Anne supported Lew in his law practice and after becoming an empty nester worked as a receptionist in Doc’s medical practice. Anne also studied the art of gourmet cooking and became quite the Chef. She enjoyed hosting warm gatherings, always providing an abundance of the most delicious food anyone could eat. Anne and Lew enjoyed travel throughout the U.S. and Europe. They moved to Naples after Lew’s retirement and enjoyed years of memorable times there with family and friends. Anne worked for Always There Home Health as a compassionate companion to many patients.
Even though her health was challenged in the last year-and-a-half, her spirit was uplifted by the care and support of her loving caregivers. The family is deeply grateful for the care provided by Always There Home Health Care, JT Private Duty Home Care, Collier Medical Specialists, Vitas Hospice, and her loving caregivers Kettly, Lovely, Christine, Lydia and Herika.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at San Marco Catholic Church, 851 San Marco Road, Marco Island, Florida. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Naples Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to San Marco Catholic Church.
