He was born in Elgin, Illinois and attended Grade School and High School in Huntley, Illinois. After graduating from Milton College in Milton, Wisconsin, he embarked on a long career in the trucking and logistics industry in Illinois. Dennis went on to become a founding co-owner of Prairie Transportation where he made a lasting impact in the field.
Following his retirement, Dennis moved to Marco Island, Florida where he spent many enjoyable years, relishing the company of friends and family and pursuing his love of travel.
Dennis is predeceasedby his parents Dick and Wanda Enstrom and a sister, Julie Olson and brother-in-law Chuck Olson. He is survived by his devoted wife of nearly 49 years, Kathleen (Kathy) Kennedy Enstrom; his brother-in-law, Jay Kennedy (Mary Kay); and sister-in-law, Maureen Kennedy.
Dennis will be fondly remembered for his deep passion for golf, boating and fishing, which he generously shared with scores of family and friends. He is deeply missed by his many nieces, nephews, their spouses, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
A private memorial will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donation's in Dennis's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
