Diane May Fuller

Diane M. Fuller of Marco Island (Florida) and Comins (Michigan), passed away peacefully at her Marco Island home on Saturday, June 21, 2025, with her family by her side. She will forever be remembered as the proud, loving and devoted wife of William (Bill) Fuller, mother of Kelly Cumberworth (Jeff) and Katie Koenig (Cory), and grandmother of Kylin and Billy Cumberworth and Crew and Baby Boy Koenig (arriving soon).

Diane is also survived by her beloved siblings, Donna Gibson, Don Hinkel, and Dave Hinkel, as well as her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and cousins, all of whom she loved dearly. Diane was preceded in death by her mother, Violet Hinkel (Gill) and father, Donald I. Hinkel, whom she greatly missed.

Diane was always the most dedicated and selfless wife, mother and grandmother. Her love for her family was unparalleled. Together since they were 16 years old (married 49 and together 53 years), Diane and Bill had a relationship that was unmatched. She was the rock and solid foundation for Bill’s love of hard work and anything business-related. She was the best mother anyone could ever dream of, putting her family above all else and providing a loving and supportive home for her two girls, who adore her beyond measure and will forever miss their best friend.

Some of Diane’s greatest joy came from all the years she spent in Comins, where she created a lifetime of fond memories that spanned from childhood to adulthood and included, going on trail rides, watching the birds and deer, relaxing by the lake, and sharing so many laughs and fun times with her family. She also relished in any opportunity for a girls’ trip or a “girly day” (shopping and vino included, of course), entertaining/cooking, games of gin rummy, boat rides around Marco Island and days spent floating in her pool. As she would want, her family and friends will carry on these traditions in her honor for years to come.

Diane will forever be cherished by her family, dear friends, and all those who were fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her children and grandchildren, who will treasure and miss her until the end of time.

A family memorial will be scheduled for a later date.

In place of flowers, Diane would be honored by any donation made on her behalf to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Humane Society.
