Donald Clark Varanese, age 85, of Marco Island, Florida passed away on Monday, November 2, 2020. Donald was born March 3, 1935 in Fall River, Massachusetts to Fortunata Parise and Francesco Varanese.

Don retired to Marco Island in 1990. He enjoyed going to the beach and the company of great neighbors. He enjoyed traveling and the many cruises he shared with his wife Nettie. Donald always greeted you with a smile. He was funny and kindhearted, all traits which will be missed by his family.

Donald is survived by his spouse, Nettie Varanese; sister; Doris Heffernan of Rhode Island, sister-in-law; Virginia Jezouit, sister-in-law; Betty DeGroat and brother-in-law; Robert (Dixie) Bentley; nieces; Lynn (Frank) Criner and Lisa Heffernan. Great niece; Allyson Criner, great nephews Brandon and Evan Criner.

Donald was preceded in death by father Francesco Varanese and mother Fortunata Parise; brother-in-law Robert Heffernan.
