Eileen’s greatest joy was her family. For 62 years, she shared a devoted and loving marriage with her husband, Richard, and together they built a wonderful life centered on family and the people they loved. She especially treasured the time she spent with her daughter, Suzanne; her son-in-law, Jack; and her granddaughters, Nicole and Alexis. Whether celebrating special occasions or simply enjoying time together, those moments brought her great happiness and created memories that will be carried forward for generations.
Eileen was a dedicated elementary school teacher for 33 years and took great pride in helping shape the lives and futures of her students. Teaching was far more than a profession to her; she cared deeply about the children entrusted to her and valued the lasting impact she could have on their lives.
For many years, Eileen lived on Long Island, New York, where she and Richard raised their daughter and built a life together. She enjoyed camping and traveling, boating, playing golf, and spending time with family and friends.
After making Marco Island her home, Eileen embraced the community and the many friendships she formed there. Over the years, she was an active member of the Newcomers Club, Just Friends, and the Sea Gals. Through these groups, she developed many treasured friendships.
Eileen had a special way of making people feel welcome and cared for, bringing warmth and kindness to those around her. Her family and friends will remember not only the things she said and did, but also the way she made them feel.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Richard; her cherished daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne and Jack; her two beloved granddaughters, Nicole and Alexis; her brother, Fred; her sister, Nancy; and a loving circle of family and dear friends.
Her family is grateful that her final moments were peaceful and that she was surrounded by love.
A celebration of Eileen’s life will be held on Monday, November 23rd at 11 a.m. at the Wesley United Methodist Church on Marco Island, followed by a luncheon reception.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Eileen’s honor to St. Matthew’s House (stmatthewshouse.org ) or to Wesley United Methodist Church (wesleymarco.org). Condolences and memories may also be shared with the family at Dignitymemorial.com.
While her absence will be deeply felt, the love she gave, the lives she touched, and the memories she created will remain in our hearts always.
