Ellsworth Rodney (Rod) Bucklin 83, of Marco Island, Florida passed away unexpectedly on June 2, 2025. Rod was born October 2,1941 to Jane Pauline and Seward Bucklin of DeWitt, New York. He graduated from Jamesville High School in DeWitt and attended Syracuse University.
He and his wife, Jeanne resided in Fayetteville, New York for many years. Rod was the owner of Bucklin Auto Parts in Fayetteville. In retirement, Rod and Jeanne moved to Anderson, South Carolina and lived there until they moved to Marco Island, Florida permanently.
Rod is survived by his wife of 48 years, Jeanne Bucklin, daughters, Bonnie Jean Phillips, Kimberly Ann Bucklin and Jill Klosheim Augustine; and sons Robert Rodney Bucklin and John (Jack) Mosley Klosheim. His family includes 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
He was an active volunteer at his church in Anderson, South Carolina and the Wesley United Methodist Church in Marco Island where he and Jeanne are members. Rod also gave much of his time at Grace Place in Naples.
Rod left a lasting impression on all who knew him; his sense of humor, his caring manner and his tremendous work ethic.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
