He was deeply loved, widely respected, and remembered for the warmth of his humor, the patience he offered so freely, and the honest, hard-working spirit that guided him in every season of life.
George graduated from Eastside High School in 1954 and went on to attend Farleigh Dickinson University, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. His sharp mind and practical intelligence served him well, and over the years he became known as someone who could be trusted—measured in judgment, thoughtful in approach, and generous with his time and counsel.

He later built a distinguished career in engineering, serving as Engineering Manager of Advanced Electronic Warfare Systems at ITT Avionics in Nutley, NJ. In that work, his steady leadership and deep sense of responsibility reflected the same qualities that defined him at home: reliability, fairness, and the kind of patience that makes others feel capable and valued.
George’s life was also shaped by faithful service to his community. He gave of himself as Scoutmaster of Pack 92 in Fredon, NJ, served for 12 years on the Fredon School Board of Education, and was an Elder at Yellow Frame Presbyterian Church. In each role, he brought a calm steadiness and a clear-eyed honesty—offering guidance with humility, and often with a well-timed, gentle humor that made hard work feel lighter.
For 65 years, George shared a devoted marriage with his beautiful wife, Marjorie. Their life together was a testament to enduring love, mutual respect, and the strength found in steadfast companionship.
George is survived by his wife, Marjorie, and their three children, Robert, George, and Kristin. He is also survived by his five grandchildren: Robert, Reilly, Brody, Scarlett, and Vance. He is also survived by his sister AnnaMae along with a niece Deborah and nephew Bob.
