Henry “Hank” H. Baasch was welcomed home by his savior Jesus Christ on October 28, 2018. Hank was born to Henry E. Baasch and Agnes (Macha) Baasch in Chicago, Illinois on June 25, 1927. Hank is a graduate of Thornton High School, Class of 1946 and served his country with the occupying forces in Japan with the United States Army from 1946 to 1952. Hank also worked as a heavy machinery welder for Rex Radiator, which he truly enjoyed, until he retired in 1994.
In his last days he was surrounded with love, hope, extra kisses from his wife, and laughs and hugs from his children and grandchildren. Hank was a wise and gentle man, devoted to his family, friends and church.
Hank is survived by his one true and only love, Lois V. (Ryskamp) Baasch who became his wife on November 2, 1951. He is also survived by his daughter, Deborah (Edward) Skrzynski , son, Keith (Sherry) Baasch, son, Douglas Baasch, and daughter, Kim Baasch. His grandchildren, Jason, Eric, Nicole, Melissa, Jon, Jane, Adam, and bonus grandchildren Kathy, Susan, Renee, and Edward; his great-grandchildren, Vanessa, Curtis, Nicholas, Ian, Rian, Raenah, Rilah, Owen, Ethan, Ben, Hayden, Bennett, Addison, Xander and Braylon and bonus great-grandchildren Veronica, Brianna, Madison and Jaelynn; his sister Carole (Kevin) O’Leary.
