
Linda was born on February 16, 1952, in Boston, MA, to the late Frances H. Maguire and John L. Quigley of Boston, MA. Upon graduating high school, she held various position in retail and industry. While employed at St. Regis Paper Company, she met her future husband, Ronald J. Kelley-they were married on April 18th, 1982, in Norwood, MA.
A logical and capable person, Linda was a self-made individual. Later in her career and while working in retail, she took an aptitude test for computer programming/database management. As her high scores illuminated her latent potential, she began partaking in classes grooming her for a rewarding career in computers. While still employed at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital, Inc., she moved to Marco Island, FL to reside permanently with her husband, Ronald J. Kelley. From there, she worked remotely until finally retiring.
Linda was a supportive wife. When she married her second husband Ronald, she got a package deal and became a great stepmother to both of Ronald’s children, Katherine, and David. She was a meticulous homemaker, making sure everything was in its place, proper and tidy. The smallest particle of dust never went unnoticed and was eradicated immediately upon discovery. She was also a generous person, giving frequently to charity.
In her earlier years, Linda enjoyed roller-skating. She also enjoyed reading books and could be often times be seen holding one. She was a sun goddess and absolutely loved feeling the caress of the sun’s warming rays, a motivating factor in the purchase of Florida property with her husband, Ronald. She loved listening to different genres of music and had a record collection to back up that claim.
Linda is predeceased by her late husband, Ronald Kelley of Marco Island, FL, and her parents, John and Frances Quigley of Norwood, MA. Linda is survived by her stepson, David Kelley of Pike, NH; her stepdaughter, Katherine Kelley and her husband, Marty Townsend of North Waterboro, ME; her step granddaughter, Lillianna Townsend of North Waterboro, ME; her sister-in-law, Elaine Kelley of Mansfield, MA; her brother-in-law, Robert Kelley and his wife, Marilyn Kelley, of Walpole, MA; nephew Robert Kelley, Jr. and his wife, Diane Kelley and their children; nephew Brian Kelley and his wife, Kimberly Kelley and their children.
