Lora “Jean” (Miely) Beraduce passed on January 1, 2015. She was the daughter of Dominic and Dora (Fortunato) Miely. She was the loving wife of James Alex Beraduce, whom passed June 10, 2013. She leaves behind a son Kenneth James Beraduce (Barbara) and her daughter with whom she made her home Donna Jean Rooney (Patrick), as well as her six grandchildren (Betsy Buckley (Brian) and Janet Hassey (Matt) daughters of Kenneth) and (Nichole Roller (Michael), Alex, Kelsea, and Patrick, children of Donna) and two great grandchildren Audrey Jo Hassey and Maxwell James Roller. She also leaves behind two brothers, Robert Miely of Sun City, Florida and Dr. William Miely of Columbus, Ohio. Preceding her in death are also her brother, Philip Miely and sisters, Helen DelFraino, Marg Wilhelm and Ann Smith.
Besides being a home maker, she worked as a book keeper for Belle-Marc Uniforms. She also was a beautiful seamstress and hand crafted her children’s clothes and for many of her friends. In her later years her love of sewing never stopped. Jean hand- crafted Christmas stockings and Holiday banners for all of her grandchildren. She never stopped sewing.
She was a den mother for the Cub Scouts with her husband, and a Camp Fire Girls Leader. Her love of baking, canning and cooking is shared by her grandchildren and her youngest grandson is in the Culinary Institute of America as a result of her influence through the years.
James and Jean were married, May 13, 1950 and together volunteered selflessly of their time to their church, St. Charles Catholic Church of Boardman, Ohio and The Ursuline Motherhouse of Canfield, Ohio. They were “two peas in a pod” if you will. She was his “Gracie Burns”, always the quiet one, but the instigator behind the man.
She will live on in the hearts of her grandchildren and her children always.
