

Louis Prigge, 84, of Marco Island Florida, passed away unexpectedly on May 28th, 2025. Louis will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. His sense of humor and generosity will leave a lasting impact on all who knew him.
Louis was born May 7, 1941 in Neptune, New Jersey to Emily Loeger and William Bush. Louis attended Manasquan High School and in July of 1959, enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he excelled as a weapons instructor achieving the rank of Corporal. On January 10, 1960 Louis married his high school sweetheart Barbara Ann Neuhaus. After serving his country, Louis and Barbara moved to Wall, NJ where they raised their two children.
Louis began working for United Parcel Service in 1965 where he achieved the position of Division Manager. After discovering Marco Island in 1987, Louis and Barbara purchased their first vacation home where they would frequently visit over the next decade. In 1997, they purchased their second home, retired, and relocated to Marco.
Louis was a member of many organizations on Marco Island, including San Marco Catholic Church where he served as an usher, the Knights of Columbus where he was a 4th degree, as well as a member of the Kiwanis. In addition, Louis was also part of the CERT team, Police Foundation, MIFR Foundation, and Christmas Island Style.
Louis is predeceased by the love of his life, his wife of 62 years, Barbara Prigge, from which his heart never healed; his parents, Emily and William Bush; his daughter Tracy Ann, and his great granddaughter Raegan Reese Hanscom.
He is survived by his son Will Prigge (Marilyn), daughter Crystal Foster (Stephen) and sister Mary Everitt (Edward).
Grandchildren: Stephen Foster (Danielle), Christopher Foster (Christine), Theresa Foster, Caitlyn Lima (Chris), Alexandra Iannotta (Sal), Hayden Hanscom (Ashley), Lauren Buczko (Beau).
10 great grandchildren along with nieces and nephews.
A Visitation will be held on Monday, June 9 from 9:00-10:00 am at Hodges-Josberger Funeral Home, 577 E. Elkcam Circle, Marco Island, FL. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 at San Marco Catholic Church, 851 San Marco Rd, Marco Island, FL. Entombment will take place with Marine Corps Honors at 1:30 at Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens, 525 111th Ave N, Naples, FL 34108.
