I only knew your mom briefly many years ago, but would like to share with you a wonderful gesture she did for me. When I was a pimply-faced medical resident at Harrisburg Hospital back in the 1980's, making about $18,000 a year working long hours, I took a part-time job at NutriSystem in Camp Hill to help make ends meet. Your mom, who worked as a nurse there, was always friendly to me, and, at the end of the year, held a farewell party for me as I moved on past my residency and left town for my new practice. She and your dad had the NutriSystem staff and many of their friends over to their home, and were very gracious to me. Instead of my usual fare of items like peanut butter sandwiches and soup, I was feted with shrimp and cocktails. I felt like a prince for one evening, and was always grateful to your parents for that generous act of kindness. Please accept my sympathies for your loss.

My sincere condolences to the family. I didn't know Louise personally but worked with her late husband Joseph at the old Pomeroys Department Store in Harrisburg, PA.
