He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Pamela Corrine Callinan, his two sons Daniel (Kelly) and Jeffrey (Jessica), three grandchildren Hanna, Jack and Allie, and brother Thomas. Proceeded in death by mother Francis, father Harry, and brothers Dan and James.
Mike was born and spent most of his life in Minnesota. He and Pam relocated to Marco Island Florida to enjoy their retirement after more than a forty-year career with Cretex Companies in sales and management. Mike enjoyed spending time with friends and family on Lake Minnetonka, Minnesota and around the Marco Island area. He loved music, fishing, boating, flying and telling stories. He thoroughly enjoyed the last twenty years golfing and traveling with The Marco Island Men's Club. His sense of humor and ability to make people laugh was his greatest attribute.
Mike enlisted in the United States Airforce in 1958. He was proud to guard and secure our country from his station on Hickam Airforce Base, Hawaii.
The family asks that donations be provided to the American Cancer Society.
A private memorial will be held in Minnesota at a later date this summer.
