Patricia Hill, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 9 2025, in Naples, Florida, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was 81 years old.
Born on August 1, 1943, in Taunton, Massachusetts, Pat brought joy and light to everyone who knew her. In 1969, she moved to Marco Island, Florida, where she built a life filled with purpose and love. Pat initially worked for the Deltona Corporation and later went on to make a lasting impact on the community by opening the island’s very first daycare, Our Gang. Her love for children was evident in everything she did.
Patricia, along with her business partner Scott, also managed the Marco Resort and Club for many years, creating countless memories for visitors and locals alike.
Pat was truly a ray of sunshine. Her infectious smile could brighten any room, and her boundless energy was a joy to be around. She had a deep love for dancing and lived every moment with joy and passion.
Pat leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory: her children, Stacy Witthoff (Curt) and Scott Needles (Deborah) ; and her four adored grandchildren, Ryan Witthoff, Mia Witthoff, Diane Needles, and Emma Needles.
She is also survived by her siblings, Billy Sabins, Steve Sabins, Ron Sabins, John Cagle, Susie Cagle, Sandy Cagle, and Wayne Cagle. Pat was preceded in death by her brother, Wesley.
Though Alzheimer’s took much from her in recent years, it never diminished the warmth and love she shared throughout her life. Pat is now at peace, and her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
A celebration of Patricia’s life will be planned at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in her memory to organizations supporting Alzheimer’s research and care.
