Patricia Sue Thoma, nee Kalebich, age 83, of Marco Island, Florida, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2024. Born on December 20, 1940, in Chicago, Illinois, Pat was the cherished daughter of the late George and Pauline Kalebich and was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Jack Thoma, and her brother, Ron Kalebich.
A woman of remarkable entrepreneurial spirit, Pat, alongside her husband, owned and operated the beloved local eatery, "The Taste of Chicago." Her zest for life extended beyond her professional achievements and into her personal passions, which included playing tennis, enjoying card games with friends, and being an enthusiastic supporter of the Miami Heat. Above all, Pat's heart was most full when surrounded by her family, who were the true joy of her life.
Pat's memory will be treasured and kept alive by her adoring family: sister Carol Miller; daughters Debbie (Jim) Gallagher, Kristen (Chris) Wright, and Kelly (CJ) Noel; grandchildren Jenny (Matt) Bain, Jim (Kelly) Gallagher, Kevin (Natalie) Gallagher, Robyn (Jake) Duckett, Rachel (Preston) Seward, Lauren (Adam) Perleberg, CJ Noel, Jayden Noel, Scottie Buss, and Riley Noel; great-grandchildren Elliott Bain, Autumn Bain, Jimmy Gallagher, Camden Duckett, Jack Duckett and Hannah Seward along with numerous friends and relatives who felt her warmth and kindness.
The family invites you to attend a funeral mass in honor of Pat's life, which will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at San Marco Catholic Church, 851 San Marco Rd, Marco Island, FL 34145. The interment will follow at Marco Island Cemetery, 489 W. Elkcam Circle, where Pat will be laid to rest. A luncheon will follow.
In recognition of Pat's compassionate nature, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Avow Hospice Care. The arrangements for Pat's service have been entrusted to Hodges-Josberger Funeral Home in Marco Island, FL.
Pat's love and legacy will endure through the lives she touched, the family she nurtured, and the community she enriched with her presence. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
