Pauline Ann Terilli

September 21, 1934March 27, 2012

TERILLI, Pauline, 77, passed away on March 27, 2012. Formerly of Goshen and then Middletown, N.Y., she retired to Marco Island in 2001 with her husband and love of her life, Samuel Terilli Sr., to be close to their grandchildren and children in Miami and to enjoy the beach. Pauline graduated from SUNY Albany in 1958 and taught high school mathematics in Goshen for more than 30 years, loved to travel and cook, and never lost her youthful enthusiasm or sense of wonder. The daughter of Roselyn (Kane) Bordonali and Benjamin Bordonali, she learned at the age of 9 that life is very precious when her father, serving in the Navy, was killed in the Pacific as World War II was coming to an end. She and her mom, who died in 1971, never gave up and never failed to enjoy their days. Even while fighting cancer this past year, Pauline mastered Angry Birds on her iPad, explored parts of the Everglades, spent many days with dear friends, found the time to enjoy her favorite restaurants and celebrated many occasions, great and small, with her husband, her sons, Sam Jr. and Gary, daughter-in-law Karen, and grandchildren, Sam, Rebecca and Megan , the loves ( Stephanie, Bruce, and Michael) and puppies in their lives. She loved them all and will be missed by everyone. A viewing is set for Tuesday, April 3, 2012 from 10:00-11:30 AM. Viewing will be held at Hodges-Josberger-Funeral Home, 577 East Elkcam Circle Marco Island, FL 34145. Funeral Service is also set for Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at 11:30. The funeral service is at the funeral home. Mrs. Terilli will be laid to rest with a private family burial. In Lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made in Pauline’s name to Avow Hospice , 1095 Whippoorwill Lane, Naples, Florida 34105.

Mrs. Terelli was the best math teacher Goshen ever hired. She was patient, had a sense of humor inside and outside the classroom. She made math enjoyable. A wonderful person who cared about people. A true giver in this world. Thank you.

I loved Mrs. Terrelli...she was the best teacher! I always made sure I was prepared for her class and kept meticulous notes! I found a love for math that I have to this day. I work as a bookkeeper and office manager for an accounting firm! Mrs. Terelli, you will be missed!

Mrs. Terilli was simply an amazing math teacher and human being. I have thought of her often as one of the many teachers who influenced my entrance into the field of education. I am endebted to her for not accepting mediocrity. God Bless her family in this time of loss.

During my years at GHS, Mrs. Terilli turned my disdain for math into a love of math. After she retired, she still tutored me - in her home. I will never forget her patience with me, her belief in me, and her gentle way. My condolences to her family - she touched many lives and she will not be forgotten!
