Great guy was just looking him up on the web and found this out, sad day for me. I have known bob since 1986 through 1993 kinda lost touch with him and knew he was in florida, from facebook. my condolances go out to his family

My deepest sympahty goes out to the Pence Family.   I have been devasted by this news I was just there with him not too long ago this has deeply saddend my heart. He always spoke highly of his family. Rob and I met last year and become almost inseparable. I very much grew to love him for all he was.  I know he is in a better place and shinning down on all of us who's lives & hearts he has touched. I will never forget him....  My Prayers and Condolences go out to you Mr. & Mrs. Pence

My condolences go out to the Pence family.

I met Robert on Halloween 2010....we became instant friends...he was fun, funny, charming, and intelligent...Family was incredibly important to Robert...he told me wonderful stories about growing up in a "Mayberry" type town playing football in high school ....his face lit up when he would talk about his sister and his three nieces....one of the first things he wanted to show me when we became friends was the video of a song written about his Mom, Adelaide...it was something that made proud and happy...it was refreshing to know a son so close with his parents....I only got to spend a little over a year with Robert as a friend, but in that short time he made a big impact...he was a good friend and I cared for him deeply....he died way too young....if there's a beach in heaven, he's on it right now smiling down on us....Mr. and Mrs. Pence I am truly sorry for loss....

To the Pence Family. I was very saddened to learn of Robert's passing. Over the past several years I became acquainted with Robert and came to very much enjoy social interactions with him in various settings. I noted a dry sense of humor in Robert, and I had a lot of fun engaging with him in jovial conversation. I will miss him.

I'm very sorry for your loss.  I hold many fond memories of the time I spent with Bob; especially sky diving!  My thoughts and prayers are with you.

The news of Robert's passing hit our family like a ton of bricks.  Having known the Pence family so well and watching Robert participate in high school activities gave us the opportunity to observe what a nice young man he was. This occurance is not what we expect in life but life is unpredictable.  Our thoughts and prayers are with all of the Pence family and we think of you often.
