He was a lifelong tech enthusiast and often embraced new tools and ideas ahead of the curve.
He lived in Oswego and Yorkville, Illinois, and more recently in Marco Island, Florida. Outside of work, Roger enjoyed golfing and fishing—two hobbies that gave him time to unwind and recharge.
Above all, Roger deeply loved his family. He was proud of his children and grandson, and remained closely connected to them throughout his life. He is survived by his daughter, Rose Mary Bartelli, and grandson, Noah Bartelli of Lakewood, IL; his son, Roger Tanner Show, and daughter-in-law, Kasey B. Show of North Aurora, IL; his nephew Cullen McKinney of Aurora, IL, and his sister, Susan Wiegert and her husband Wilhelm of Geneva, IL.
Roger was also an Eagle Scout, a distinction he valued. He was known for his sharp wit and sociable personality.
A celebration of Roger’s life was held on November 8th in Marco Island, Florida, where his friends gathered at The Italian Deli Restaurant to share memories and stories. A second, more intimate gathering will be planned in Quincy, Illinois, where his ashes will be laid to rest.
