Ron was born November 6, 1934 in Denton, Lancashire, England. He was a proud member of the Royal Air Force, serving his country in Aden. He became a US citizen, but never gave up his love of England and always referred to himself as a “proud Englishman.” His love of Jazz took him and Margaret around the world to hear it played live. He was a Manchester United fan and rarely missed a match on TV.
In 1974, Ron and his family moved to the USA, making their home in Mahwah, NJ. He was employed by Kulite Semiconductors as the Senior Vice President of Sales. Upon retirement, he and Margaret settled down on Marco Island to enjoy life to its fullest.
Ron was a very active member of the Marco Men’s Club and an ardent supporter of the Marco Players Theatre where he served on the Board of Directors. His quick wit and fast smile always drew people to him.
Ron leaves behind Margaret his wife; his daughter Patricia and husband James Shada; his son Peter and fiancée Leah; granddaughters Stephanie (Shada) and husband Brendan King, Jessica Shada and fiancé Gordon McPherson, and Bailey Shada; and grandsons Nicholas Moores, Aidan Moores and Stephen Moores. He also leaves behind the light of his life, his great-granddaughter Charlotte Bruges King.
