Ruth Wittmann Duklauer, born on October 1, 1939, in Mannheim, Germany, peacefully departed from this world on May 13, 2024 attended by her sister in law Diane whose care meant the world to Ruth.
Ruth lived life on her terms. She was fiercely independent embracing each moment with unwavering determination and grace. She was a beloved wife, sister, aunt, great aunt and friend, touching the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Ruth had a deep love for theater and art, finding joy and inspiration in every performance and creation. Her passion for these forms of expression enriched her life and brought beauty to the world around her. She was an avid bridge player, enjoying the game and social aspect with her good friends Margeret Gallivan and Susan Shrader, to whom, she often referred to as family.
Additionally, Ruth was a dedicated advocate for animals, supporting various causes and organizations throughout her lifetime.
Ruth was predeceased by her husband, Robert "Duke" Duklauer, who was her partner in life and a great source of love and support. Together, they shared a bond that transcended time and will continue to endure in memory.
Ruth is survived by her brothers, Claude/Diane Wittmann and Gordon/Connie Tetreault, who will forever cherish her memory. She is also survived by her nieces Alicia and Michelle Tetreault, Nicole/Jason Rice, and nephew David/Ali Wittmann, whose lives she deeply enriched. Grand Nieces and nephews include Tyler and Mckenna Rice and Teddy ,Finley and Edith Wittmann whom she dearly loved.
She is also survived by her stepdaughter and friend Pam/Mark Taylor.
Ruth's generosity knew no bounds, and she touched countless lives with her selflessness and compassion.
Ruth was attended by her loving family and friends throughout her final days, surrounded by their unwavering love and support.
Her legacy of love, creativity, and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of her cherished family members, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to have crossed paths with her.
May Ruth Wittmann Duklauer rest in eternal peace, reunited with her beloved Duke, surrounded by the love she shared so generously during her time on earth.
