Shannon Robert Vosburgh left this world on November 11, 2021. He is survived by the love his life, Rene Asuncion; his four children Chevera Moor, Liana Criscuoli, Castor Vosburgh, and Alaka Vosburgh; his mother Renee Farley; his four siblings Ian Farley, Desiree Farley, Cory Vosburgh, and Travis Vosburgh; and his three grandsons Orion Smith, Oneill Smith, and Milo Moor. In addition to his immediate family, Shannon also left behind adoring aunts, uncles, and cousins across the continental US.
Shannon was born in Troy, New York and came to Marco Island at the age of 14, to live with his father, and best friend, Robert (Bob) Vosburgh. Bob passed in 2006. Over the years, Shannon established himself on Marco Island and started his business JD Fiberglass repairing boats. He started his business in 2001 and in 2017 his son, Castor, joined him in this trade.
One main enjoyment Shannon had was his time on the water: boating, fishing, and enjoying his time at sea. Shannon and Rene ensured to instill the love of the water in their children. Every Sunday was dedicated to going on the boat and to the beach. This was Shannon’s time to make lasting memories with his family and friends. Going fishing also brought joy to him, especially when he could share his secret fishing spots with others. Any chance he could be on the boat or the water he would.
Shannon has been described to be loving, caring, kind, devoted, and a jokester. One testament to his traits, was he loved all his kids’ friends like they were his own. When life was difficult for others, he would take people in and give them a home. He was a big pillar of support for many people. Another testament Shannon was known to joke with everyone and truly make them laugh. He was loved by many and a friend to all.
Family and friends are invited to attend the gathering at 4 PM at Hodges-Josberger Funeral Home and the service at 5 PM located at 577 W. Elkcam Cir. Marco Island, Fl 34145. The family requests business casual dress for the service.
