She was born on May 23, 1949, in Joliet, Illinois, to Allen and Frances Rose (Selock). Sheila graduated from Rich Central High School in Olympia Fields, Illinois. Shortly thereafter, her beautiful love story began when she met Tony Angellotti, her beloved husband of 57 years.
Sheila is survived by her loving husband, Tony Angellotti; her children: daughter Mia (Justin) Allen of Elmhurst, Illinois; son Tony Angellotti Jr. of Woodridge, Illinois; and daughter Amy (Eddie) Olson of Elmhurst, Illinois. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to six treasured grandchildren: Taylor, Sophia, and Aidan Allen, and Harper, Lyla, and Skylar Olson. She is also survived by her brothers, Mike Rose of Frankfort, Illinois, and Alan Rose of Boca Raton, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Frances Rose.
Sheila was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who will be remembered for the unwavering love and support she gave her family. Her warm presence and steady devotion brought comfort and joy to all who knew her. Family was the center of her world, and she cherished not only her children and grandchildren, but also the many close relationships she maintained with her extended family, including her beloved cousins.
Sheila found joy in many activities, including sharing a love of golf with her husband, Tony, and occasionally joining him on fishing outings. In her later years in Florida, she especially enjoyed shelling along the shore. She was an exceptionally talented artist—following in the footsteps of her mother, Frances—and found great joy in painting. Her family and friends were blessed to receive and cherish the beautiful pieces she created.
Above all, she found her greatest happiness in being a mother and grandmother. She selflessly put her children’s needs before her own, always going out of her way to make life special for them. She took a genuine interest in their daily lives and had a remarkable way of making everything feel better. If you were having a bad day, then so was she.
Sheila also loved to cook and bake, sharing that joy with her grandchildren and creating cherished memories in the kitchen that will be treasured forever. Many delicious family recipes and traditions have been lovingly passed down through the years.
Cremation rites have been accorded by Hodges-Josberger Funeral Home in Marco Island, Florida. A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Illinois.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice in Sheila’s honor.
