Timothy Stinchcomb, Sr. passed away June 18th, 2023 after his battle with cancer. He was born Friday, October 13th, 1950 in Bedford, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kathryn, his parents, George and Lois Stinchcomb and brother, Ricky Stinchcomb.
Tim moved to Marco Island in 1972 after helping a local family make the move from Ohio. Most islanders knew him as "Beautiful Tim". He would eventually convince his high school sweetheart Kathryn "Miss Ohio" to move south and start a life in the sand and sun. Tim was a man's man, who worked like a captain and played like a Pirate. Respectful, loyal and as tough as nails he planted his roots on the island. Known for his rambunctious spirit he would always remain a friend to have your back, a brother to cover for you and a husband and father to love and lead.
Tim loved the outdoors, and the Florida climate was where he would work to create the family dream. Working orange groves and cattle, to parks and rec., into construction with island hotels and condos, docks and seawalls and property maintenance. Traveling and seeing the sights of the states, camping, boating, fishing and white-water rafting were some of Tim’s favorite hobbies. Eventually, his title turned into "Big Tim" as his family grew by two sons.
Family was the full circle of the dream. At the center was his beloved wife, Kathryn Stinchcomb. Against the wind they would run, and raise their boys the way the island had raised them. Sons, Timothy Jr. (Sasha) and Jarrett (Krista); Precious grandchildren Samantha, Myla, Mason and Maevryn. Tim is also survived by his brother, Daniel and sister, Nancy and their beautiful families.
Tim's memorial service will be Friday, October 13th, 2023 from 2-5 p.m. at Kretch's Restaurant located at 527 Bald Eagle Drive on Marco Island. "The road goes on forever, and the party never ends."
