Wayne Arnold Waldack

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents: Albert Waldack & Lillian Waldack; his brother Albert Waldack; his son Robert Waldack and great-grandson Nathan Hoffman.

Survivors include his daughter: Theresa Materna (Mark); his daughter-in-law; Jennifer Flakus-Waldack; his grandchildren: David Hoffman, Lucia Hoffman, Derek Hoffman, Matthew Hoffman, Brandon Waldack and Christoper Waldack; his great grandchildren: Declan Hoffman and Cayden Hoffman.

Wayne was born and raised on the North Side of Chicago, Illinois. He was a diehard Chicago Cubs fan. Wayne moved to Marco Island, Florida many years ago to care for his mother Lillian Waldack. During his time on Marco Island, he was elected to the Marco Island City Council; active member of San Marco Catholic Church serving as an usher, eucharistic minister, lector, attending daily and weekly mass, a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, he was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus, and he was known for handing out prayer cards to people. Wayne has been described as kind, caring and always smiling. In Chicago he owned his own real estate company Wayne Waldack Realty and worked for Century 21 Realty. In addition, he was the former Manager of Bill Smith Appliance and Electronics in Naples, FL and former Assistant Manager of the Marco Island store.

Funeral services will be at San Marco Catholic Church on Marco Island July 30th at 10:30 am with burial to follow in the memorial garden at San Marco Catholic Church. A luncheon/reception will be provided by the Knights of Columbus at San Marco Catholic Church following the services.
