William Pickornik, 80, of Kalamazoo and most recently Brighton, Michigan, left us on March 6, 2023 in Marco Island after a tremendous fight with Parkinson’s Disease. Those that knew William, Bill, Billy, Pick (the list goes on) know how determined he was with everything he did in his life. He knew everything there was to know about Parkinson’s and we know that he came out on top.
Bill lived a big life. His love for so many things also brought so many people close to him. He truly created one big family with all the people he came across with in his life. He loved to travel, sail, start big home DIY projects, drink red wine, laugh, smile, play music, dance with Linny, tell jokes, and so much more. Looking back it makes sense that he lived so large because he knew that he would have to leave us too soon. He will be so greatly missed.
Bill is survived by his loving wife Linda; children, Sherrie (Jim), Todd (Theresa), Joe (Beth), and Lindsey (Jake); sibling, Diane (Gary); Grandchildren, Sarah, Stephanie, Lauren, Adam, Julia, Elvis, Ziven, Jaden, and Kyla; Great Grandchildren, Aiden, Jacob, Braylon, Nicholas, Madison, Emily, Ryan, Cash and Birdy.
A Celebration of Life Mass will be held for William Pickornik at 11am on June 17th at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Brighton, Michigan. Immediately following will be a luncheon at the Sunset Ridge Pavillion in the Huron Meadows Metropark.
Holy Spirit Catholic Church is located at 9565 Musch Rd, Brighton, MI 48116. The Huron Meadows Metropark entrance is 8765 Hammel Rd, Brighton, MI 48116. Follow signs to Sunset Ridge.
