My condolences to your family.   I knew Bill from my time at Eaton Corporation and he was an excellent boss, always professional, and a truly nice man.

Oh Linda and Family, I just heard of Bill’s passing. I’m so sorry to hear of this loss to everyone who loved him so. He was such a special man. Full of love, kindness, knowledge, inspiration, laughter, fun and adventure! I am so blessed to have been included as a part of the beautiful family of friends you all built in South Haven. You all taught me so much, showed me so much love, kindness and generosity, during some very hard times and thru some very good times. The Bill’s were always ready with answers and explanations on the most difficult or perplexing puzzles. Teaching their experience and knowledge with us all. If you were sad when you arrived in their company, you weren’t by the time you sat down next to them! Medicine for the soul. I can only hope that I touch other peoples lives the way you all touched my life. I still say “I want to grow up to be just like them!” I know how your hearts ache, but I know Bill will be close by always whispering what to do… his love for his family was epic. You were so blessed to have him as your husband, father, uncle, grandpa… and I was blessed to have him as a friend. ❤️❤️ Love and big hugs to you all!!! 😘😘😘😘

Oh Lindy, what a shock!  Mr. Bill was always the epitome of health and such a great guy!  He was the top dog in all situations and so fun to be with.
This makes me realize how out of touch I've been with you guys and it makes me sad!😥

From the minute I first met you, you made me feel like I was part of the family and I will never be able to thank you enough for that. I cherish our one on one talks and laughs… something I miss dearly. 

Jaden and Kyla will forever be reminded about their Papa and what he stood for. The amount of love that you showed them and any of your family and friends is what I will always remember most.

I know you are on the open, calm waters watching down on us. We got it from here, but only because of what you have instilled in us over the years. To be able to call you my father-in-law is one of the greatest gifts life has blessed me with. I love and miss you, Bill!

There will always be something missing at future Thanksgivings. Pickornik thanksgivings are a highlight of my life. I could always count on being welcomed by Uncle Bill’s warm smile and generous spirit. He always ensured everyone was taken care of, putting others before himself. 

Most of my favorite memories as a kid were with Grandpa and Grandma at the beach. Not only did I get to having the most amazing memories with him there but so did my kids. Our hearts our broken that he is no longer with us and we will never go to a beach and not think about how lucky we were to have him.  💕

It is almost hard to imagine this photo being as old as it is.  My memories are so vivid and the cast of characters in and out of this 'famous kitchen' are so long.  'Family' always included Uncle Bill and stories of a life he shared with everyone.  So lucky are we to have these wonderful memories.  He is so very missed...  


We go back a long way, Bill. You will be missed!

Every year growing up I have memories of my 'Uncle Bill'.  My Mom's (Diane Pickornik-Radue) only brother.  This photo started my sailboat racing career before getting into power boat racing.  When you are lucky in life you have role models who influence you in ways you can hardly understand at the time but cherish as life moves on.  How lucky we all are to have an 'Uncle Bill' in our lives.  I cherished every moment.

Grandpa clearly was a man who truly loved and cared for everyone. This photo right here was during Lindsey's wedding. He showed me how to properly tie my tie and made sure I looked sharp. 
I remember when I was little he shared his passion for the sea with not only me but with everyone. 
In the many hours he spent out on the open water, watching and feeling the sailboat move with the wind, I bet he felt peace and tranquility out there sharing it with us. 
I know for sure grampa is sailing the biggest boat in paradise right now ripping through the ocean. 

Bill was such a bright light with his constant smile, love of family and life. Forever in our hearts.

To know Billy TRULY was to love him, it was impossible not to. He was the kindest, funniest, most stubborn man I have ever met, and one of my absolute favorite people to ever walk this earth. He loved his sailboat, red wine, sunsets, south haven, and his family, but boy did he love his Linny (my grandma) the most. His love for her is what made me believe and showed me that true love really does exist. There really are no words to describe the ache in my heart but I know one day we’ll be together again drinking red wine and sailing. Until then, I’ll be missing you. I love you grandpa. 

Though it's been years since I'd seen Bill (I recall the last time was the night of the 2016 election watching the returns come in at a bar in Texas Corners) I often thought about him, even in recent weeks.  Bill was indeed larger than life, a big personality of warmth, kindness, generosity and many talents.  Of all the bosses I've known in my career, Bill is perhaps the only one I considered a friend first.  
My prayers go out to Linda and his whole family. Thank you for sharing Bill with all of us.

Bill was an extradinary guy who was great to work with. Of all the bosses I've had he was hands down the BEST, always encouraging and supportive.
I certainly enjoyed the times we shared, whether planning, traveling, or sharing the occssional of wine.

The names of fellow Eatonians are quickly fading away; but when I close my eyes, I still see the smiles on faces that I enjoyed over the years. I’m sad to have received/read this notice; and I offer my condolences to the family and other mourning friends.

So very sorry to hear about Bill’s passing. I played a lot of tennis with Bill, especially during our time at Eaton Southfield. We were pretty evenly matched, so every game was always competitive. He never got tired, never gave up, and always seemed to know what your next shot would be!

I am very sorry to learn Bills passing. I also am surprised to find out that he is almost a neighbor as we live in Punta Gorda. But I do especially remember one specific event,  It was the hockey game between the research center and safety systems division. He, Les Hayes and others kicked our butts.  Bill was always fun to be around and had that look as to what's going to happen next.  I will never forget. Bill was a special friend and is missed. My deepest sympathy to his family and friends
