Andrea Lynn Hampton

Lynn was born April 9, 1951, to Andrew Nelson and Margaret Cooper Hampton. She attended East Atlanta High, where she met lifelong friends that have supported her through the years. She received an Associate degree from DeKalb Community College.

Lynn’s first job was in the Georgia Department of Safety working for the State Patrol. She later moved on to one of her most fulfilling jobs as a secretary in the Pharmaceutical School at Mercer University. She was befriended by professors and students alike, even with some of the young students living with her for a time. Lynn’s last job was as a real estate agent which was a dream come true for her.

Lynn was an active member of the singles group at First Baptist Atlanta and then at Northpoint Community Church, where she enjoyed directing various social activities.

Lynn is survived by many cousins that she grew up with, including the one she always viewed as her sister, Vicki Neal.

A visitation hours for Andrea will be held Sunday, January 28, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:49 PM at H.M. Patterson & Son-Canton Hill, 1157 Old Canton Road Ne, Marietta, GA 30068, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM.
