

Born in Brooklyn, NY on April 1, 1925 to the late Anton Antonsen and the late Martha Andreassen Antonsen, Ann was married to the late Charles J. Beyerlein. Survivors include her daughter, Kathryn Avery and a son-in-law Bruce Avery of Marietta, GA; a grandson, Ted Avery and his fiancée, Denise Garcia; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by two granddaughters, Kristin Ann Avery and Jennifer Elizabeth Avery.
Ann lived much of her life in Brooklyn where she was a member of St. Stephens Lutheran Church. During her husband’s tenure with Scandinavian Airlines, she and Charles travelled extensively in Europe as well as Japan, China and Thailand. They enjoyed Caribbean cruises and road trips throughout the U.S.
Ann was also an avid reader and enjoyed dancing. During World War II, she and her sisters danced with soldiers and sailors at the Brooklyn Navy Yard’s USO gatherings. Later, Ann and her husband enjoyed round dancing. More recently, after moving to Georgia to be near her daughter, she was active at the East Cobb (Marietta, GA) Senior Center as part of the line dancing and walking groups. She was also a member of Christ Presbyterian Church in Marietta, GA.
During Ann’s business career, she served as executive secretary for the General Counsel of American Express in New York City and later for the U.S. head of Grand Union Supermarkets in Elmwood Park, NJ.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family starting at 10 o’clock Saturday morning at H.M. Patterson & Son – Canton Hill, 1157 Old Canton Rd, Marietta, GA 30068. Following the visitation a funeral service will be conducted at 11 o’clock in the morning on Saturday the 17th of November in the chapel. The Rev. Toby B. Holt and the Rev. Dr. Legree Finch will serve as celebrants. A Reception will be served in the Canton Hill Garden Room & Courtyard. The committal service is to follow, with an escorted cortege to Arlington Memorial Park in Sandy Springs entering through the Main Gate, Southwest Entrance.
In lieu of customary remembrances, and for those desiring, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions in Ann’s memory be directed to Christ Presbyterian Church, 495 Terrell Mill Rd, Marietta, GA 30067 OR to the charity of your choice.
