

Anne spent her childhood in Atlanta, Georgia, and Anchorage, Kentucky. She graduated from Eastern High School in Middletown, Kentucky, before attending Emory University. Anne earned her Doctor of Law degree from Emory Law School and dedicated her career to Family Law. She operated a private practice until her retirement in 2018 and was deeply involved in legal societies, generously offering her expertise through pro bono work.
Anne had a vibrant personal life and was a devoted Atlanta Braves fan. Her love for animals, especially dogs and horses, shaped much of her volunteer work and inspired her dedication to animal welfare causes.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and Vernon Heavrin. Anne is survived by her sister, Jane Heavrin Ciervo, and her brother-in-law, Joseph Michael Ciervo.
Anne will be remembered for her warmth, compassion, and tireless commitment to her family, friends, and community.
A private graveside ceremony will be held at Floydsburg Cemetery in Crestwood, Kentucky, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to an animal welfare fund in her honor.
