Throughout her life, Joan enjoyed working as a bookkeeper. She was strong in her faith and had a love for all animals. In her spare time, Joan enjoyed playing bingo.
Joan was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. She often spent quality time with her family and loved making memories.
Joan had a heart full of love and was always very sweet and caring to others.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Lee Simpson; step-dad, Albert Norris; brother, David Norris and sister, Mary (David) King.
She is survived by her sons, Randy (Joanne) Simpson and Glenn Simpson; Daughter, Denese Withrow; Grandchildren, Kevin Holt, Denese Anne (Mike) Grader, Kelly Simpson, Eileen Simpson, Kate (Jason) Tarokh, and Lillie Simpson; Great Grandchildren, Alyssa ( Sam Graeff) Holt, Logan Holt, Alice Tarokh, and John ‘Ford’ Tarokh; Great Great Grandchildren, Cayden Holt and Liam Graeff; Brother, Donald (Claudia) Hammett; Sister, Shirley (Jim) Brideau and many extended family members and friends to cherish her memory.
A funeral service to honor Joan will be held on Monday, August 22, 2022 at 11:00am at East Cobb United Methodist Church. She will be laid to rest at 12:45pm at Green Lawn Cemetery. Friends are cordially invited for visitation with the family on Sunday, August 21, 2022 between 2:00pm and 5:00pm at HM Patterson and Son Canton Hill Chapel.
