Bob Lee Helton

Mr. Bobby “Bob” Helton, 72, of Marietta, GA passed away August 16, 2012. Bob was born in Atlanta on June 26, 1940 to the late Lora and Ernest Helton. He was raised in Atlanta and is a graduate of West Fulton High School and Georgia State University. Bob enjoyed his 47 year career in commercial real estate, of which the last 24 years were spent running his own company, Helton Reality Company. The most important thing in Bob’s life was his family and his relationship with God. He was a caring and true Christian, always willing to help those in need and he was a long time member of Eastside Baptist Church. He also loved to golf. Bob was a wonderful and loving husband, father and grandfather and he will truly be missed by everyone that knew him. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his grandson, Grant Wright. He is survived by his wife of 45 loving years, Phyllis Helton, son, Shan Helton (Laurie), daughters, Pam Dennis (Scott) and Debbie Wright (Phil), and grandchildren, Magen Nelson (Bryan), Meredith Dennis, Mary Ashlynn Dennis, Dillon Mabrey, Kenzie Mabrey, Tanner Wright, Reece Wright and Cole Wright. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at 11:00am in the chapel of H.M. Patterson & Son Canton Hill. Interment will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery, Roswell, GA. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00-8:00pm at the funeral home.
