(Formerly from Jackson, MS.). She was preceded in death by her father, Clyde E. Holmes; mother, Alma Seay Holmes, and son, Eric Holmes Fayard.
Mrs. Fayard is survived by her husband of 71 years, Robert J, Fayard, SR., daughter, Cheryl F. Fortune of Atlanta, GA; son, Bobby J. Fayard JR, (Laura) of Marietta, GA; grandchildren, Bella Taghizadeh, (Cyrus) of Marietta, GA., Brittany Nonneman, (Chris) of Charleston, SC., Benjamin J. Fayard and Sarah A. Fayard both of Pittsburg, PA.
Mrs. Fayard was born September 24, 1933, in Jackson, MS. She graduated Central High School in 1951. She was a long-time member of Eastside Baptist Church and Gospel Class in Marietta, GA., she loved Jesus.
She loved to volunteer, American Red Cross Disaster Relief, Kennestone Hospital, long time member of the Telephone Pioneers. Avid bowler, bowling was her passion, bowling in leagues where she was the president. Tournaments, local, state and nationals.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home.
