Charlene Sivell Hollingsworth, 69, of Marietta, GA, passed away on June 1, 2016. She was born in Pine Mountain, GA on August 26, 1946 to parents Irene and Harmon Sivell. Charlene graduated from Harris County High School, received an elementary education degree from West Georgia College, and then received a Masters teaching certificate from Georgia State University. Charlene was a retired teacher for the Georgia public school system. For the majority of her career she taught 3rd through 5th grade at Mt. Bethel and Timber Ridge Elementary Schools. She had a passion for volunteering at her church and helping others. Charlene is survived by her son, Chad Hollingsworth. The funeral service will be conducted at Johnson Ferry Baptist Church on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 11:00AM. Interment will be 12:00PM, on Sunday, June 5, 2016, at Smith-Sivell Cemetery, located on private land next to the old farm house where Charlene grew up, 1008 Bethany Church Road, Pine Mountain, GA.
