Charles E Jones

Mr. Charles “Chuck” Jones, 61 of Monticello, GA passed away unexpectedly on March 22, 2012. He was born to the late Bud and Millie Jones on December 17, 1950 in Binghamton, NY. Chuck grew up in Harpursville, NY, moved to Stone Mountain and Monticello, GA. He was a man of honor, conviction, compassion, and strength. He was a dedicated son, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was loved by so many simply because he loved so much. He was an avid UGA and NASCAR fan. After 35 years working for Eastman Kodak, he retired and recently began to pursue local politics, running for Jasper County District 4 Commissioner at the time of his death. He is preceded in death by his young daughter Beth Anne Jones. He is survived by his wife of 40 years Juli Jones, son Christopher Jones and his wife Michelle, grandchildren Maggie Bethanne and Kate Belle Jones, brother Tom Jones and his wife Leslye, and sister Annie King and her husband Hal, and many cherished family and friends. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 31 at 1:00 pm at Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church in Marietta, GA. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Harpursville UMC, P.O.
