April and family,
I’m so sorry to read of Bud’s passing. He was a cousin of my late father, Charles Theim, and they ran together a bit in Birmingham when they were young, stayed in touch as they grew older, and had mutual respect and affection for one another. Bud and Ginny attended mine and my husband’s wedding in Chicago almost 15 years ago, and Bud came into Atlanta about 2 years ago to visit with me while I was in town. I’m very glad I got to see him then. Your father, grandfather and great-grandfather was a kind and generous man and the world is a lesser place without him.

Bud; as we called him was such a nice guy. My late husband thought the world of him. He will be missed.

I remember Charles Ray Jones (BUD) growing up as he was my older brother's and cousins age. My brother and his family lived in Marietta, GA close to Bud when his first 2 daughters were young in the 1960's. They moved to Huntsville, AL and we continued to stay in touch. I last talked to Bud after my husband, Walter, had a heart attack and open heart surgery on Friday, July 13, 2018 in Birmingham, AL. I tried to call him several time this year and got no answer. I am sorry but know that Bud is in a better place now!

I always loved uncle charlie as a child and then to our surprise my husband and our three girls moved into a new home and guess who our neighbor was?? Uncle Charlie!! My family would have him over for hamburgers at times and he generously gave my husband some old UGA memorabilia which we still have today. Charlie was a good man who was so kind and would often pull our garage cans up our driveway just because. We sure loved him a lot and will miss him greatly. Love to his sweet family!!!
