Charles Burton Landers, age 89, of Marietta, died Friday, January 18, 2013. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, January 26, 2013 at the Chapel of Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home, Marietta. Interment will follow in Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Landers, born in Montgomery, Alabama, was a son of the late, Charles Edward and Marjorie Landers. He received a Bachelor’s Degree from Auburn University and was a retired engineer with Lockheed-Martin. Mr. Landers was a former Elder of Smyrna Church of Christ and Burnt Hickory Church of Christ; and Chairman Emeritus of the Greater Atlanta Christian School Board. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Landers.
Survivors include his son, Lee Landers and daughter, Carol Thorp.
