Charles R. Russell, 83, of Marietta, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on October 19, 2015. Mr. Russell was a member of the United States Army and retired at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel after 21 years of service. He was a graduate of West Point in 1956 with bachelors in science. He earned two masters degrees from the University of Arizona in Accounting and MBA. He enjoyed restoring Ford Model A’s as well as Player Pianos. He is survived by; wife of 59 years, Margaret “Peggy” Russell; daughter, Joyce Russell; son, Douglas (Randi) Russell; sister, Phyllis (Joe) Kirkwood; and grandchildren, Matthew Russell, Allison Fleckenstein, Christopher Russell, and Lane Fleckenstein. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, www.woundedwarriorproject.org. A graveside service will be held at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 2:00P.M.
