Clarence (Tommy) Ingram, Jr., age 78, passed away April 20, 2020, at his home in Marietta, GA, surrounded by his loved ones after a short bout with cancer. He was laid to rest at Georgia Memorial on April 25 at a small grave side service. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to ask that you donate to his church, Victory Fellowship of Marietta, 2692 Sandy Plains Road, Marietta, GA 30066.
Tommy was proceeded in death by his parents Clarence Thomas Ingram, Sr, and Evelyn McPherson Ingram, his wife, Geraldine Ray Ingram, and his daughter Diana Lynn Scott. He is survived by his son Kenneth Douglas Ingram (Kristy) and his daughter Felicia Ann Brady (Alan); nine brothers and sisters: Clara McDowell, Margaret Rakestraw, Jean Drake (Danny), Johnny Ingram (Ann), Larry Ingram (Debbie), Mary Croft (Tommy), Cathy Plemmons, Carol Davis, and Dennis Ingram (Nancy). Five grandchildren: Rodney Hal, Robert Scott, Jennifer Curlee, Amber Scott and Ashley Fultz; and nine great grandchildren. He also leaves behind his “Angel” of four years, Sharon McGrath, who made his life bright and brought a lasting smile to his face.
Tommy retired from Sonoco where he started to work at only 14 years old to help support his family. We are all blessed to have our lives touched by this man. His good nature, his laughter, his smiling face, his willingness to go out of his way to help people will continue to enlighten all of us who knew and loved him so very much. He will be missed greatly.
