Danny K. Quillen, age 78, of Marietta, Georgia, passed away on November 1, 2025. He was born on April 5, 1947, in Alcoa, Tennessee. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Bobbie Quillen and his sister, Angela Quillen Myers.
Danny’s life story is one of the best ever told. Danny proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Following his service, he attended the University of Tennessee and began what would become a distinguished 36-year career with Delta Air Lines. His work in marketing and later in government affairs took him and his family to many places, creating lasting memories along the way.
On December 30, 1967, Danny married his high school sweetheart, Anita Harr Quillen. Together they built a beautiful life and family. He is survived by his devoted wife of nearly 58 years, Anita; and their three children, Lori Lathem (Greg), Lisa Broadhead (Tommy) and Casey Quillen (Vicki).
Danny was a proud and loving grandfather— “G-pa” to those who adored him—of Tyler Quillen, Daniel Lathem, Hanna Quillen, Ella Broadhead, Ryan Lathem, Teague Broadhead, Laine Broadhead, and Banks Broadhead. His grandchildren thought the world of him, and he cherished every moment spent with them. His legacy will live on through all who loved him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Mt. Bethel Church, 4385 Lower Roswell Road, Marietta, Georgia 30068 on Monday, November 10, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. A reception and visitation will be held immediately following the service.
