David Vance, age 79, of Marietta, Georgia passed away on Friday, February 19, 2021. David was born September 24, 1941 in Texas to the late Burton and Charity Vance. He graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a degree in engineering. He was in the Naval Reserves for six years followed by thirty years at AT&T.

In his spare time he enjoyed following college and NFL football and watching Western and action movies. He had a passion for trains. Especially dear to him was spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death also by his brother Edward and his sister Aletha. He is survived by his loving wife, Lea; his sons, Michael (wife, Taunya); Stephen (husband, Eric); grandchildren, Joshua and Jennifer; his mother, Estelle; brother, Thomas (wife, Shanda) and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Life Celebration Service will be held 11:00 am, Friday, February 26, 2021 at HM Patterson and Son Canton Hill Chapel with Rev. Don Clarke officiating.
