She was also dearly loved by her sisters and brothers-in-law, Karen and Charlie Ferguson, and Kay and Warren Tesch. She will be missed by all her family including her cousins, nieces, and nephews. She will be mourned by all the lives she has touched over the years, including many greyhound friends. She attended San Diego State University where she studied accounting, but her focus was her family and her greyhounds. She started a non-profit rescue group called Greyt Friends, where she was able to rescue and place hundreds of greyhounds in loving homes. She loved to travel, go on cruises, read, spend time at the cabin on Lake Burton, and the Atlanta Braves. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1pm on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at H.M. Patterson & Son – Canton Hill Chapel in Marietta, with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that you consider a donation to one of the following animal rescue groups she supported: Cobb County Humane Society, Furkids Animal Rescue, Paws4Life Humane Shelter, or Best Friends Animal Society.

My big sister Dee. You were a sister that held me close in your arms teaching me how to be a better person. Our Mother and Daddy were so blessed to have you as their first born. No one can fill your shoes but I know every soul you touched was sprinkled with your kindness and love in order for us to share a part of you. I love you and will spend the rest of my life here on earth trying to be the person you want me to be. RIP .
