Donald Guiler Austin, 83, of Roswell, Georgia, passed away on October 23, 2026. Born in 1942 to Donald and Frances Austin, Don graduated from Wilkes University with a degree in business and was employed by Equifax.
Don had a love for the outdoors, especially golfing and fishing. He also enjoyed reading and spending time with his family and dogs. These interests were an important part of his life, giving him opportunities to enjoy the outdoors and time with those closest to him.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Frances Austin. He is survived by his wife, Carol Austin; his daughters, Erin Hahn and Lindsay MacDonald; his sons-in-law, Christian Hahn and Ryan MacDonald; and his grandchildren, Reece Hahn, Colin Hahn, Alison MacDonald, and Bryson MacDonald.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be considered in Don’s memory to Adopt a Golden Atlanta, a rescue organization dedicated to finding loving, forever homes for Golden Retrievers in need. This would be a meaningful way to honor Don’s love for dogs and help other Goldens find their own loving families.
He will be remembered for the life he lived, the interests he pursued, and the memories he created with family and friends.
