Don’s early accomplishments were many. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, Navy Lt., lay minister, airline pilot and business owner. However, Don’s greatest passion in life was sharing the life-changing message of Jesus Christ. As the founder of Burning Bush ministries, Don worked tirelessly to bring the message of salvation to prisoners all across the state of Georgia. Don never missed an opportunity to talk about Jesus, and his years of ministry touched thousands of lives.
Don is survived by his wife and ministry partner, Genene, his daughters Michelle (Allen) and Monique (John), grandchildren Madi, Connor, Hayleigh and Chloe. Don was also dearly loved by his step-children and grandchildren. Don was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Doug.
There is no doubt that upon arrival in Heaven, Don was told, “Well done, thy good and faithful servant.”
Services will be held to celebrate Don’s life on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at 10:00am at Mount Paran Church (Central Campus). The family will receive visitors from 9:00 – 10:00am. Graveside service at Georgia National Cemetery at 2:30pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Burning Bush Ministries, P.O. Box 500115, Atlanta, GA 31150.
