Fragile Eden
A full moon seen through gossamer threads of mosquito netting shining down on a lake, surrounded by mountains in Taiwan was the view a six year old fell asleep to. A fragile Eden that formed a lifetime memory. A shiny full moon setting between the red rock hills of Sedona, Arizona, touched the cord that binds my heart to this wondrous place we call home. But is it? Aren't we all longing for that final, perfect destination thrown away by careless choice long ago?
I think of that garden in that olive grove called Gethsemini, bloody tears pouring down that precious face, that cross where sacrifice became renewal, that final act to restore home to those willing to make the right choice this time.
We spend our lives searching for that home. The glimpses of a fragile Eden leading us on. I will step through that veil to see my Eden, only to find it's not fragile at all!
Mom, Garry, Granny, and Grandy, we will always have a hole in our hearts but we are happy you are dancing in heaven.
