Unfortunately time and distance can separate us from family as happened between Doug and I. But I have great memories of Doug from growing up, living closer together and sharing many family gathering opportunities. Doug was a wonderful man who will be missed very much by his family. Doug was a hard worker and loved his family very much. He had a tremendous memory and could recall some of the most distant events and memories. He knows how much his family did for him during his declining health days. Doug was much loved and long will live his memory.

I knew Doug as my Christian brother. He and Debra would sit behind us at church and Doug would worship the Lord. My most founded memory, one Sunday Doug came to church this was when Doug was in his wheel chair worshiping, As our Pastor had completed his sermon and walking out to greet everyone, Our pastor stop where Doug was sitting in the wheelchair and we were waiting to leave the church our Pastor stop and prayed for Doug right there. I was so moved and I felt the Holy Spirit I had to sit back down and I praised our Lord because I knew He had Doug in his hands. It was a wonderful picture of Gods grace and how much He loves his children and Doug was certainly one of His children and he would stop and witness to you anytime.
