I worked with Doug for over 30 years. He was a wayshower with his dedication and love for his family, his faith, and his friends. Doug helped me through some troubled times and I came to rely on his calm, quiet strength. He was so proud of his girls and grandchildren and loved sharing stories about them. My prayers and love go out to Karen and his girls and their families.

Our family has always respected and admired Doug Walker. He was a gentle giant. He was always willing to serve and faithful to show up and do what was necessary to make things run smoothly. He was a friend to our children and a blessing to be around. He was a wonderful father and grandfather. He supported his children and grandchildren. Brad and I witnessed first hand Karen and Doug at so many sporting events cheering their grandchildren on. I know God has many treasures stored up for him. He will be greatly missed. May the Lord comfort you, Karen, Vicky and Cindy both now and in the days ahead. Love and blessings, Susan & Brad

While some may only know Doug as the sound guy at church, his work in this area has had a much bigger impact on me. As a slightly troubled and rebellious teen, I would skip Sunday School to help Doug set up the sound system for the youth services in the CAC. Doug not only taught me what all those knobs and buttons did on the sound board, but he made me feel like I belonged there. As a result of him taking me under his wing, I went on to do sound professionally, touring with major artists like Michael W Smith and Jars of Clay. Without Doug's influence and passion for serving the Lord with his talent, I may have never found my own passion for audio. I am eternally grateful to him for his influence, care, and teachings. My condolences to the Walker family, and my prayers for each of you during this time.
