Mrs. Edna Sparks, age 82 of Smyrna, passed away July 11, 2012. Mrs. Sparks was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Smyrna and was also a member of the PBX Telephone Operators Club. She enjoyed traveling, going out to eat, watching the Game Show Network and the daily newspaper Jumble. Her greatest love was her grandsons Billy and Marcus. She will be deeply missed.
Mrs. Sparks was preceded in death by her beloved husband Eugene F. "Red" Sparks. She is survived by her daughter Candy Chumley, brother Herbert M. Price; grandsons Marcus Wood and Billy Chumley; great grandchildren Gavin, Ayden and Tristen Chumley; and special niece Barbara Ann Bloodworth.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 16, 2012 at 4:00pm at the chapel of Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home with Dr.Steve Kimmel officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 14, 2012 from 6-9pm at the funeral home.
