

Edward received his diploma from Poly High School in Baltimore MD. When he was thirteen years old, he met the love of his life, Ida Schwartz. Sixteen days after his 20th birthday, on April 30, 1948 they married. On October 17, 1950 they were blessed with twin boys, David and Michael.
Throughout life, Edward was a draftsman by trade and eventually worked for Whitman Requardt & Associates in Baltimore. This was a civil engineering firm, where his older brother later became a partner.
In the early 60s he became interested in photography and later became president of The Baltimore Camera Club where he won numerous awards for his work.
Around 1980, after attending several waterfowl festivals on Maryland's Eastern Shore he took local wood carving classes. Later he progressed to professional level classes at the Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art in Salisbury, Maryland.
In April 2019 Ed and Ida celebrated seventy-one years of marriage before her passing on May 14, 2019.
Edward Millard is survived by his two sons, David (Sally) and Michael (Valerie); three grandchildren, Amy Radley (John Skowronski), Ali Ballard (Mark) and Paul Millard; four great grandchildren, Declan Radley, Griffin Ballard, Emmeline Radley and Brenna Ballard.
A Celebration of Life to honor Edward Millard will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at HM Patterson Canton Hill Chapel at 11:30am.
