Mrs. Quinette Carter, age 78, of Dallas, passed away November 12, 2011. Mrs. Carter served as a teacher in Cobb County Schools for 38 years, including time at Eastside Elementary, Mountain View Elementary, and Brumby Elementary. She was an avid cat lover devoted to, "Tugger" and "Blu". She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Donald Carter. She is survived by her daughters, Debra Carter Buis and Sabrina Carter Waters, both of Cobb County, and her son, Captain John B. Carter, of Fort Stewart, GA; five grandchildren, Dawn, Rose, Tristan, Thomas, and Christopher.
Funeral services will be held Friday, November 18, 2011, at 3:00 PM in Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. William H. Camp officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, 6 - 8 PM at the funeral home.
