Elias Marto, age 76, passed away on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 in Atlanta, Georgia after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Elias was born November 28, 1937, in Jerusalem to Issa and Wardeh Marto and grew up in Bethlehem. He earned his undergraduate degree at the University of South Carolina and graduate degree at the University of Oregon in Portland. Elias had an entrepreneurial spirit, started his own business in Amman, Jordan, was a leader at several growing companies and became a stockbroker. He enjoyed traveling, listening to jazz and classical music, and spending time with family and friends. He was so very proud of his daughters. He will be dearly missed by Norma, his wife of 39 years, daughter Dina, daughter Reem, son-in-law Khaled, granddaughter Joud, sisters Juliette, Violette, Linda, Henriette, and Samia, brothers Musa, Michel, Sami, Adib and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces and friends who live around the world. We mourn the loss of a gentleman of great integrity, kindness and charm.
