Elizabeth was born in Missouri to the late Alfred Thomas Hutchinson and Elsa Carder Hutchinson. She dedicated her life to education, serving as a higher-education instructor and sharing her passion for learning with generations of young adults. Her students remembered her for her patience, insight, and deep commitment to their success.
Elizabeth had a joyful spirit and a wide range of interests. She loved traveling, collecting her beloved pieces of Puerto Rican bric-a-brac, and spending cherished time with her Golden Retrievers, who were constant sources of companionship and delight.
She is survived by her son, Tom Jackson and his wife Donna Jackson, and her granddaughter, Erica L. Mace, all of whom brought immense pride and happiness to her life.
Elizabeth will be dearly missed by her family, friends, former students, and all who knew her. Her legacy of kindness, curiosity, and lifelong learning will remain in the hearts of those she touched.
